Market Data for Extended Hours

Please note that the TMX Information Processor (TMX IP) has advised CIX that it does not anticipate being operational during CIX Extended Hours (pre-market and post-market) until late Q2 of 2027. In the absence of an information processor during the CIX Extended Hours and in compliance with National Instrument 21-101, CIX will provide CIX Market Data to information vendors. Interested parties may therefore obtain CIX market data from third party information vendors that currently make CIX Market Data available. A list of these vendors is available from CIX Sales at sales@thecix.ca.

Fractional Trading

Fractional trading will be available in the ASPEN VERT order book, within the combined fully hidden Fractional Odd Lot book. In order to enter orders in fractional quantities, Subscribers must also sign the CIX Fractional Program Participation Agreement.

  • Order Entry: Orders may be entered in fractional share amounts up to six decimal places.
  • Matching: Fractional orders execute against assigned Fractional Liquidity Providers (FLPs)

Settlement and Clean-up: Fractional subscribers are responsible for sending a fractional clean-up orders (FRC) any time before the close of the trading day to round fractional positions to whole shares for CDS settlement.
