The Director Business Strategy will play a key role in driving CIX’s growth and expansion. This role will be responsible for conducting business analyses, developing financial models, and supporting the leadership team in making strategic data driven decisions. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop business cases, and execute with the goal of building an innovative Canadian equity trading market.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development
- Develop and present data-driven business cases and strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Define, track, and report on success metrics for key initiatives.
- Collaborate with the executive team on strategic priorities.
- Develop business strategy and supporting materials for new offerings.
Reporting and Analysis
- Develop detailed strategies that support corporate strategy and board reporting.
- Provide insightful financial and business analysis to leadership, including business case discovery, risk assessments, and identification of opportunities.
- Lead financial reporting by collaborating with the CFO and finance team.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, strategic consulting, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Strategy, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- CPA qualification is a plus.
